Way overreach of power. Let these choices stay with the individual.

How is there anyone in these bowls up in arms about vaccination mandates?! Didn’t you go to college?! I know you did… And I know you got the meningitis shot, and probably other shots… accordingly.

While also saying that if you don’t plan to be vaccinated, the company will continue to work to provide options virtually (where possible)
"Someone having a lifestyle that I wouldn’t want for myself personally but does no harm and being tolerant of that is VERY different than someone refusing the vaccine without a medical exemption and contributing to the community spread"
How are people still this misinformed? The vaccinated spread the virus just as much if not more than the vaccinated. Mandating vaccines is sheer lunacy based on the data at hand now. The vaccines are not even vaccines. They are therapeutics. They reduce the symptoms. They DO NOT MITIGATE SPREAD. The CDC director admitted this. People really need to wise up.
This will drive away anyone with the inability to receive a vaccine such as those with underlying conditions.
Have you read this article? If you have, you’re intentionally misrepresenting what it is for the purposes of fear mongering in this threak. It’s specifically addressing potential ways to control virus spread in humanitarian settings (refugee camps, homeless centers, displaced populations) and operational challenges to these approaches. Also it’s from June of 2020. Would you be less alarmed if the CDC wasn’t putting any thought into vector control in challenging environments like this at the absolute height of the pandemic.
EY9- found the article D15 was referring to.
A groundbreaking preprint paper by the prestigious Oxford University Clinical Research Group, published Aug. 10 in The Lancet, includes alarming findings devastating to the COVID vaccine rollout.
The study found vaccinated individuals carry 251 times the load of COVID-19 viruses in their nostrils compared to the unvaccinated.
Now go ahead and READ THAT AGAIN.
While moderating the symptoms of infection, the jab allows vaccinated individuals to carry unusually high viral loads without becoming ill at first, potentially transforming them into presymptomatic superspreaders.
This phenomenon may be the source of the shocking post-vaccination surges in heavily vaccinated populations globally (ie, Israel)
The paper’s authors, Chau et al, demonstrated widespread vaccine failure and transmission under tightly controlled circumstances in a hospital lockdown in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
The scientists studied healthcare workers who were unable to leave the hospital for two weeks. The data showed that fully vaccinated workers — about two months after injection with the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine (AZD1222) — acquired, carried and presumably transmitted the Delta variant to their vaccinated colleagues.

It will never end, my friend.

If the big 4 does this all around, I hope my firm doesn't so we can catch some of the staff/senior runoff from the people they alienate.
D15 - and you need to get back to getting your very first COVID-19 VACCINE shot. So exciting 🤗
EY9, you can’t end a coronavirus pandemic with vaccines. Why is this such a hard concept for people to understand? Boggles my mind.
Well EY11, even if it reduces the severity of it, then mandate away. Not sure why that is so hard to understand. Refusing to be vaccinated just boggles the mind of 99% of reputable scientists with expertise in this area.
Another thought is that DT is mandating to avoid health care premium spikes. I’m sure that is coming nationwide. I’m not strongly for vaccine mandates but if my insurance premium goes up because of some stubborn anti-vaccine ignorant individuals don’t want to get the vaccine then I’m all for the mandate. Free market at work.
K2/D6 - What you are both failing to understand is NOT EVERY EMPLOYEE needs to get the vaccine. I know several people in my situation as the virus was raging for over a year before vaccines were available. Not very many of them see the value in getting the vaccine as they already have antibody protection. And the handful I know who have gotten the vaccine have mysteriously gotten covid again, the very thing the “vaccine” is supposed to prevent.
Another simple example - would you be required to get a varicella vaccine if you had chicken pox in preschool/childhood? The public schools we attended K-12 and even colleges didn’t require us to get a vaccine ever, since we still have ANTIBODIES years later.
K2- Curious what study you read that if you’re unvaccinated that you are more contagious and can spread to others faster? Based on the data coming from Israel, which is being closely monitored by all doctors/scientists, it appears that the vaccinated (who may have less severe symptoms and thus are unaware they are sick) are actually spreading to other people more rapidly - both vaccinated/unvaccinated alike.

What if I’m vaccinated but don’t want to work in the office?
Then you don’t go in. It’s still optional
Just to add: The requirement is only if you want to go into the office. There is still no requirement to go in if you don’t want to. They don’t seem to plan to ever make people come back in full time by force. If you want to go to the office, but don’t want to get vaccinated, you can talk to your team leader , or resource manager about it. I don’t think this in anyway imposes on our rights or oversteps in anyway. Only would be an issue if you absolutely needed to work in the office, and also can’t or won’t get vaccinated. In which it will be handled on a case by case basis.
That’s great. Good for Deloitte! All firms should follow suit. Would help end this pandemic sooner. Glad that Deloitte cares about their people and clients.
Agree w/EY9. This is a smart move and one all the firms should adopt

Every other major firm will have a mandate within the month. Goldman also announced today.
The mandates are coming across the board. If you don’t like it, start your own firm.
Our firm already announced this in June. Had to upload our vaccination cards to Oracle profile.
PwC where y’all at?? 👀
@PwC 3, the whole point of vaccines is to stop the spread. As hard as it may be for you to understand, people make choices to help protect those around them, not just themselves
Lot of people in the replies whining about this who also love capitalism. Well guess what? Businesses making decisions to benefit themselves is capitalism!
Yes, how dare President Biden try to end the pandemic????!!!!
What’s funny is that the people that are most against going back to the office are most adamant about mandating the vaccine…while 25% of COVID infections in LA occurred in vaccinated patients. I have the vax and have had COVID, mandating it is dumb and those that do support businesses mandating shouldn’t ever complain about “big business having too much power”, etc ever again.

SIA1 I have never been dependent on pharmaceuticals to function. Some people have been harmed by the vaccine and are now dependent on other medications to fix what the vaccine did to them. And vaccinated people think that’s a good answer. “Just take an anti-inflammatory for your myocarditis. Just take a drug for those tremors that you now experience.” Stop pushing medical procedures and drugs onto people. Your doing so is what is selfish.
Like it should be.
This is going to be the norm soon. Might as well just roll up your sleeves and just get it over it.
Does your office have a high percentage of people that live in Stanton Island?
