Are any of y’all considering an JD-MBA? I want to go into biopharma post-MBA (already in life sciences consulting) and I think I could benefit from a JD as well. But on the otherhand this might just be a naive thought haha

Why I love being in industry: I presented a deck and I misspelled "EBITDA" in the exec summary while presenting to the exec team. No one noticed. No one called me out. No one gave me a nasty glance. No one sent a "pls call my mobile" text after. No email with some stuff about "not meeting expectations" or "how could you let this happen in your role". After the wave of panic, I remembered that I'm in industry now. I make more money, work less hours, work with great people, I'm happy.

Would you consider it worth it to re-take GMAT if you’re not sure about doing an MBA? I got a not so great score (~640, after months of practice) last April and found it very demotivating, so I just gave up. My quant was especially low and much lower than I was getting on practice tests (maybe partially due to test anxiety). I just feel stuck and unable to make a decision, and worry that I will lose motivation if I start practicing again.

Recently accepted to a top PT program (Booth/Haas/Kellogg). Also received an offer from a boutique strategy firm with a decent comp bump. Really want to take both the pt program and new job, but concerned over capacity and ability to perform / deliver on both fronts. Currently at a B4 non-strat advisory role, and PT MBA is my preferred path for personal reasons. Does it make sense to try to do both or just stick with my current firm? Thanks!

If I paid for an MBA consultant and paid the application fees - can I deduct that as education expenses at the federal or NY state filings?
