Just joined and got on a project with unrealistic deadline. The other two experienced dev and I have already talked internally and to the project manager. M does not seem to appreciate the complexity or how unrealistic it is.

We are gonna try to do it once more with the M and narrow the scope but I am concerned that M won't listen.

I think the other 2 dev is realizing the situation and active trying to leverage their network to get out. This is my 1sr project....

Any suggestions?

if one doesn't like the work and Project in a company and feels he is under paid, how soon should he plan to switch. I mean is it normal for an employee to switch within 3 months. Should he switch or try to stay till atleast 6-8 months before planning to switch to get the best offer without hurting his resume.

Fishes, I have a job title question. Does it matter if a role is in the same project with different titles? Example: SA, State and Local, Researcher vs SA, State and Local, Business Analyst. The job description makes it sound like they are the same project. However, Business Analyst does have more requirements/qualifications listed than Researcher. I’m coming from industry (3 YOE). I am currently working as a financial advisor for a wealth management firm. I feel like I would rather be in less of a commission role and am not sure I love this niche in the business field. To those who have left a company due to their WFH policy, how are you doing now?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients).
