Just joined the firm and travel a lot. 3 months and I've gained 9 lbs. I work long hours (close to 12 a day) on a 3 person team. It's stressful and tiring and gym is impossible. Can anyone...

Your issue is how you wrote that all. The gym is possible. Stop working 12 hour days and leave at anytime during the day for an hour or two and workout. Set boundaries. You may lose some points during review time but u wont be another overweight accountant

Deck of cards workout. Assign a body weight exercise to each suit. Shuffle it up and go through the whole deck. Each number is the amount of reps. Jack-King is 11-13. Aces are 15. Get real crazy and throw the jokers in there and do a mile run when those are pulled. I do it every time I travel

I have a coworker who does BeachBody On Demand and loves it. Not sure how much it costs

Nike Training app is free and a lot of the workouts don't need equipment. Not saying that you shouldn't work out, but that's not why you're gaining weight. You need to make better food choices or no amount of lunges in your hotel room will help you

Yes, set boundaries! Your health (physical & mental) is #1. Also, try and make it routine whether it’s working out or eating healthy. Try and eat healthy (more fruit, veggies, protein and less carbs) for most of the work week.

... recommend a workout program they use in their hotel rooms that actually works? I see many advertised on TV but hoping someone seasoned travellers can vouch for ones they use and have worked for them. Thanks

Insanity max 30! Only 30 mins and guaranteed results! Or you could just jump rope for 15-20 mins a day. Trust me that works great too.

I bought a Total Gym for home. It was $300 but it’s a great machine.

I use beachbody on demand and it’s been great!

Yes. Make time for you. The work will still be there.

Also, Isagenix is amazing nutrition, combats daily stress, and has awesome performance line!

Anyone had any luck charging these to daily fitness/gym allowance?

Pwc3 is 100% correct - can’t workout of a bad diet. As for apps - Johnson & Johnson 7 minute app is good and has lots of options for minimal/no equipment

T25 focus. Really effective

I’ve heard good things and seen results from friends using 80 day obsession! Gives you a meal guide too I think.

Got covid from the UK , double vaxxed , and symptoms are wildly atrocious. Everyday I have different issues. I went from no fever to 102.4 in a couple of minutes. Blood oxygen dropped dangerously low and bounced back in a few minutes. Chills , cold sweats. My newest one is that my legs are so achey and sore it feels like they were beaten with a bat , just nonstop pain and can’t sleep. Anyone else experience these? Pretty sure I’d be hospitalized at a minimum without the vax

Anyone else feel obligated to take family/friend referrals to healthcare providers? My brother is a dentist and, in light of some work I need done, said "hey! Go to so-and-so at such-and-such. He's a friend and really great." And I'm sure he IS really great, but I love my dentist and don't feel a need to switch. But my brother has already told his friend to expect me.

I’m having my performance review tomorrow. Looked at my goals last year which was set before the pandemic really hit. Since it really affected business and travel I didn’t hit most of my goals. Plus I was really depressed (who wasn’t really) so I didn’t take much initiative. What’s a good way to navigate this...?

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?

So...seems like shut downs are headed our ways. Why are schools requiring us to come in? I worked for multiple teachers last shut down, and honestly went above and beyond any other para in our building. I have three kids ages 8-11. This will put me under a tremendous hardship if I have to go to work everyday and find a sitter. Not to mention- when I brought this to my principals attention he said I might have to take Covid leave. Covid leave only lasts so long- correct? The. What do I do?
