As a junior, you’re expected to bring excitement, curiosity, and a unique point of view. Show them how you think and how you can tackle a problem in a new way. That’s what they’re looking for

For your level, I’d primarily want to see how you think, and to know that you’re a curious soul with a different perspective (less about experience or specific projects at work). Talk about the last amazing book you read (not a business book). Share some insight into the neighborhood you live in, what makes it interesting and what makes locals tick (or at least pre covid when we could go places and do things). What was the most random but inspiring class you had in school? I can teach a junior strategist the craft, and I can teach you about the tools and mechanics, but I can’t teach you how to be interesting or to be interested in the world around you. Make that come across and you’ll set yourself apart. Good luck!

Things important to me in juniors:
- resourcefulness and curiosity
- ability to build good relationships with creatives
- clear and succinct over just sounding smart
- has interests and passions

Picture them naked but don’t BE naked. Works more often than not.
Pick a couple of brands/campaigns you admire and try to dissect them: what’s the biz challenge, the audience, the strategy, etc. it doesn’t matter if you’re right as long as you’re thoughtful. Do your homework on the person hiring you and ask them LOTS of questions about their own work, favorite projects, and other interests you’ve noted they have. The more questions you ask them the more they will like you ❤️. Good luck and go get em!!!
