I miss my former employer too. There were good things

Dang - I'm about to get on the phone with a recruiter to let him know if I'll be interviewing for a posting he reached out on and y'all have me feeling a bit better about the fact that I was planning on turning them down

Planning a 5 day trip to New Orleans with my SO in September. It'll be the first time there for both of us. Any travel recommendations? Places to stay, things to do, what to avoid, etc

United Platinum here - got an offer to pay ~$6k for upgrade to 1K. Thoughts on if it’s worth it? Already belong to Club (United Infinite) and have CLEAR credit through Amex Platinum. Still have 40 plus points from hitting Platinum last year. Unlikely to travel for business until late 2Q at earliest but have 2-3 transcontinental flights planned for summer and 1 transatlantic for fall. Maybe another 1-2 shorter trips this year as well. I imagine I’d use my extra plus points on all these.

How often do you feel unsafe in the city? What are some tactics you use to make you feel safer (or carry pepper spray, defense lessons, etc) esp for women?

Does anyone have experience with Delta offering a challenge to match status?

Do you think a big 4 company would rehire a boomerang who was a “low performer” before leaving the first time?

Do you all use some kind of soothing baby music to put your little one to bed? What is it that you use and recommend? Also, do u let the music be on the entire night?

I want everyone - client and internal alike- to stop saying “I’m stuffing my mouth”, when they are eating food. It is not funny, it is a disgusting thing to say and it is disrespectful to your food.

Visiting PwC Boston office while on vacation in Boston. Who's here 😊👌🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hey! Question for folks who have applied for a green card - has anyone missed an interview coz they never received an invite from USCIS? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Updating my resume for potential pre-MBA internship.. what's the best way to show that I'll be attending bschool? Would GMAT score and fellowship be appropriate on it as well? Thanks!

Does anyone know who the 401k benefits manager is at VMLY&R NY?

Partner got job in London - this is my chance to leave big 4 tech strategy and pivot to regular strategy. Currently 1 year of experience. Any fish have any referrals for consulting firms?

Hi ladies, Is the 6 month mark too early to ask for a raise? I have been required to over step my job role in almost every capacity. My bosses boss is contacting my personal phone on this weekend as the main point of contact for crisis comms on social media. I am also helping more senior social media members often. I have received 5 pieces of overwhelmingly positive written feedback from colleagues and these will be reviewed at the end of probation talk. I just don't know how to ask. 😔

What type of exit opportunities are junior partners (I.e. 1-3 years into partnership) looking at in industry? How does comp. vary?

How about getting a temporary role in JP morgan through agency? I got an offer letter for 9 months through an agency.

Best firm for little to no travel in the DC area?

Hi Everyone I am currently working as Azure Developer with 10 YOE. Interested in Azure AI and would like to complete Azure AI associate certification in the next 6months. Can anyone tell me how are job opportunities for Azure AI

CONTROVERSIAL OR? I don’t know if this sounds douchey but am I the only one that’s not concerned ever with not being able find a job like? Like, if my work were to randomly fire me tomorrow, I can easilyyyyy find a good job with the same salary within two weeks to start. I just feel like in todays age, people act like making 6 figures is the hardest thing ever when it’s very easily attainable for a lot of individuals to make that 4-5 years within graduating college…

Advice needed: I’m a SR CW looking for my next move. After hours and hours of applying and shuffling through job postings, I’m intrigued by the possibility of making a move to UX writing. My current company offers an education stipend that I could use towards an online course. After much research there are several courses that offer an “industry recognized certification”. So my question is, what’s the ROI on earning this certification? Should I go for it or just learn UX on the fly?
