My wife is ~13 weeks pregnant (!) but I've also been considering making a career move. 1) When in the interview process do I bring up parental leave? 2) What's generally the min you have to work somewhere before being eligible for paid leave? (I've seen a big range!) Any advice is welcome.

New young professional seeking some insight on medical insurance. I went with a high deductible plan and recently did a few things. One of those things was seeing a new dermatologist to check a spot for melanoma. I was charged $250 for the biopsy and $250 for a new patient fee. Insurance covered half of both those costs. Is this normal on a high deductible plan? Will my bill always be this expensive? Any advice? Worried about seeking medical attention for other health issues with all these cosrs
Are there any good movies or novels that show skill development - like follow through? Self-management? Money management? I read a lot of self help books so I know a lot of the theory, and books peppered with examples help, but I feel like most 1 paragraph examples don’t five justice to how hard it may be to change a behavior.

Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?

So my wife basically said she doesn’t want to have sex anymore. Don’t want to do anything about it. After couple kids, doesn’t feel it anymore. Also said it wasn’t anything I did and there’s no one else. I understand women’s body changes after child birth but can’t help thinking it’s gonna suck being in a sexless marriage. We’re still attractive and haven’t turned into couch potatoes…yet Happy Thanksgiving!
Ever been promoted at your firm while on a project and you have to be rolled off bc your billable rate is higher than what the client has budgeted? Or does your firm find this as an opportunity to renegotiate the SoW?
