Just moved back to the firm as a manager (left as a senior). Feel like the manager role is very project mgmt focused. How do you make sure you’re on top of everything? How do you not forget something?

You’ll forget things. It happens. Use OneNote and try to track as much as you can. Remember to check in with your teams on a regular basis... and NEVER assume they are telling you the absolute truth about the status.
