Is this bag vegan? It says on the website that the only material used is fabric. Anyone into vegan fashion can advise?
Ok need thoughts without judgment. I have two kids in private school/1st grade. I felt they needed a good foundation and later move to public. For me its the smaller class room size, bilingual school, and the environment I felt they would thrive in.This meant a hit to my fin saving goals. I’m struggling on public to get back on track. It’s roughly 2800/m, that wouldn’t a straight save, we have learning challenges that will require more tutoring. Maybe at least 1200-1500 savings. Is this selfish?
A recruiter mentioned to me the possibility of a down payment assistance loan - does anyone have experience getting this from their employer and willing to share a bit of insight?
I absolutely sucked at my previous job but managed to fake my way into a fairly high stakes position at this new company. It’s only been a month and I am trusted to make important decisions. I have been able to fake it well so far - was I meant for this new role or is my cover going to blow soon?

So happy a bowl exists for this! My wife struggles with anxiety and we have been TTC for ~8 months. I’m honestly not that worried based on my research but she is absolutely convinced that she is infertile and we will never have kids. How can I support her?

Any estate lawyers here? Need some advice.
In minnesota. A friend is dying so we are trying to get her legal docs in place. Problem: she is still legally married to a leech/bum/drug addict, they have 3 kids (16, 18, 20). Dad steals money from the kids. They have been separated for 11 years (not legally). How can we ensure he has no legal right to any of her estate and her kids get everything. And social security? He cannot have access to it. Dire need of help right now, time is of the essence.
Anyone hiring a PM? Would love for a switch up from agency life (in-house, sports, entertainment, etc) but interested in any and all opportunities. Thanks!
If I've moved to a completely different field than what I used to do, at what point do I remove all of my past career experience from LinkedIn? I fear I have trouble job searching because my experience doesn't look like a linear path when laid out on LinkedIn. I've kept it visible to avoid people assuming I have an employment gap when in reality I've never had one. Any thoughts on what to do here?

M&A senior here. Most days I feel like I’ve peaked with a ceiling of midlevel and feel like I can’t break through to that next step to truly lead deals independently. I have done it but always some partner backstop even if not a ton. Is it weird to think that maybe my limit is midlevel ability? If that’s the case, not sure how I’ll ever move upward or get better at it.
Is 1500 hours a year still too much work if you want to do business development, pro bono, CLEs and DEI?
Partner snapped at me because I was on mute during an internal group call while searching for an answer to the partner’s question and typing notes. The only other associate on the call was shocked by the partner’s reaction. The rest of the call went normal. I am always polite and kind to others. Unfortunately, people like this partner are rude to me. I have always gone the extra mile for this firm/partner. Perhaps, I am too sensitive but these interactions hurt my soul. How can I toughen up?

Scenario: baby coming in January and have an offer to lateral. Current firm gives 12 weeks of parental leave. New firm wants decision by next week. Would like to give a few weeks notice to current firm about leaving but need the entire parental leave. Parental leave can be taken at either firm but importantly, need the full time off and not work at all. What to do and when to do it (ie provide notices etc.). Thanks!
Cap markets attorney. Work has been slow since May. Looking like I am going to be a little short on hours. What are the chances I could ask the lit group for doc review work?
What to do if you’ve given lots of notice about an OOO and offered to get coverage and the partners says basically just says no you don’t get to be OOO? Very interchangeable junior associate and it’s just one deal for this partner…

Ugh, nothing like a weekend when a partner dumps something on you, gives you a Monday deadline, and provides no context/background. Here goes nothing lol
Do you have PTOs as a lawyer at big law?
My firm doesn't have a clear policy on vacation and we just use whatever days for vacation and make up for the time later. I thought it's the norm for all lawyers but I see people talking about PTOs here. Do you have them? How does it work?
Partners of fishbowl, were any of you bad junior associates or did the job require perfection all the way through?
Is it important to tell recruiters your end goal when first reaching out? For example, I’m interested in switching from litigation to transactional, but my eventual goal is to go in house. Is that important to mention or precarious? Would recruiters have insight into the best way to make that goal happen?
I’m a junior associate and I worry that my work is not as good as it should be/as I want it to be. When you work with junior associates and you wish they were better, what specific things do you think they could do to improve?
