We had something called “agency after hours” before Covid where ad professionals would come together at the virgin hotel rooftop bar and socialize and network. I made some really good friends there. We even had some zoom events when the pandemic hit. Hopefully, it comes back but it might be awhile.
Perhaps we can create a Chicago ad folks meetup to make some friends?

Would really love a Chicago ad folks meet up at some point!
Get married, have some kids, move to the suburbs and crash your neighbor’s backyard bonfire parties
I enjoy volunteering, taking art classes exploring new restaurants and playing tennis
I’ve also met a lot of people through tennis. I am in a USTA league and I still play a couple times a week indoors (with masks). At least it’s an outlet to get me out of the house. Also like others said, get involved with groups and activities once we’re through this. There’s so many.
Play roller derby with me!!!
Follow @windycityrollers on Instagram. We obvi aren’t playing for a while, but once we can hold tryouts again, we’ll announce it there. My handle is @nasty__al (two underscores). Welcome to Chicago! I love it so much here, and I know you will too.
Yeah, all depends on what you’re into. There’s pretty much a club or activity for everything. Lately (well, pre-Covid), I’ve met people through photography meetups. Still keep in touch with them through text and social. And will probably meet up with them outdoors in the Spring, hopefully.

what are your hobbies ?
I moved here a year ago and made a few friends, then the pandemic hit. I still bike with a couple close friends and was having beers in parks over the summer, but now that it’s getting colder haven’t been seeing people other than my partner and parents. Working from home currently. Like others have said, meetup groups for whatever you’re into are a great way to go
I made a similar post not too long ago, glad to see I’m not alone!!
I also just moved here in August so all of these tips/this info is very helpful, thank you!
