Make a grand gesture! It’s not a bandaid that will fix everything but I’ve felt how your SO felt and my SO made a grand gesture showing me they heard me, they cared, they promised to do better and they DID. We are still together years later and happy

We talked and are considering staying together and working things out. They needed some space this week to gather their thoughts... by Friday things should be official and I’ll keep y’all updated. If things go south, I may need to use up some PTO days next week. The idea of us potentially staying together is what’s keeping me sane this week — but I am of course considering both outcomes.

Can you try to work things out with your partner? Relationships are difficult but there is a resolution to almost everything every time...

Can you take some leave from work? You really don't need work on your plate whilst dealing with something this important, its impossible. Do you know where things are going wrong? Can you suggest couples therapy?

I’ve been burned by the stock market before trading options (when the market bottomed out in 2016) and I learned my lesson on recklessly speculating on spikes and dips in the market. I feel like my kids 1st grade teacher is being too strict, but I'm not sure if this is normal or I'm being sensitive because it's my child. E.g. she gave him 2/10 for his math homework because he doodled on the page, colored in the circle that has the page number, didn't draw the word problem neatly, wrote his last name under the name line, and says some of his numbers aren't legible. All his answers were correct, except one where he forgot to fill in the blank. Is this normal? X-posting
