Just offered 85k for federal tax Senior 2 PwC. CPA. MCOL. Feel like it is pretty low considering only a 13% bump. Thoughts?

Not sure if the right spot but need help figuring out my worth. I am with a large real estate PE firm, mcol area, and I am technically in FP&A. That said I do 95% of my work automating valuations, fund models, and underwriting using SQL, python, and excel (for end users to be able to use). Given my technical department, my skill set, and my actual work I don’t know where to start for understanding an appropriate salary. I have 5 years industry experience with both finance & tech.

I have a hard time knowing how much certain jobs are worth from descriptions and if I’m in the right ballpark for salary. I’ve turned down a couple interview requests bc I would tell them my range. I’ve also spent time on several jobs where the description didn’t match the value. They ended up being 20% less than others in the industry.

Hi guys, I recently received an offer for Program manager jn TCS, my total exp is 8years, can some one explain me the level of program manager and what is CTC I should ask for?

I’m a tax senior 1 (will be a senior 2 in October) and just got an offer with a 26% raise at a large public company on their provision team. There’s also an aspect of FP&A and helping with transactions so not strictly tax. All seems super interesting and the team seems great. I really like my EY team and my counselor has talked to me about an early manager promo next year but have never intended to be a PA lifer. Any reason I shouldn’t take it?

I need some guidance determining whether I would be better off staying in PCS or declaring a specialty in int’l/crossborder work. I don’t see myself in B4 forever, and it seems the int’l work would limit exit opps in the future. Dealing with uncooperative client. I don’t understand how some people can run their own business when (1) They don’t know how to use a computer but can email; (2) Don’t have a P&L to provide. I can’t complete their SCH C. They claim they snail mailed it but nothing was received. They can’t use a fax because they don’t have a fax machine. They don’t know how to use the attachment feature on email. They provided it last year why not this year. Happy Friday! I’m going to cry.
