M1 Midwest 85.5K, 4K bonus so don’t feel bad 😂

like

S1 M&A tax Midwest 95k. I am def towards the top of the comp band but I know there are S2 over 100k and M1 at 120k. I would assume the same goes for advisory.

note, bonuses used to be larger, but this year they changed the pay structure so that larger portion of increase goes to base salary. overall have been getting about 20-ish% increases each year for the last few years

Oops! Yeah, forgot to mention Audit. Hired in from campus recruiting, going into my 6th year here and have had my CPA since my first year. So maybe sounds about right, I've always been under the impression tax gets paid a little more.

S3 Texas $92.5k, $10.1k bonus. I don’t think it’s too bad for Michigan especially in Audit. I’m in Risk with same number of years exp (6) and I know we get paid higher than Core.

I got a bigger bonus for being promoted to senior... if that means anything

I was an advisory manager at D working in cloud technology making $190k base. 7 years of experience, California.

Does anyone else find it difficult to ask for time off? I haven’t taken a “vacation day” since February, billed 185+ hour months consistently through the pandemic (exceeded hours for 2020 bonus eligibility), and am feeling pretty burnt out. It’s hard because other associates in my department haven’t really taken any time off either (or it has been a day or two sporadically). Would really love to take some days over Christmas to recharge but I’m nervous about perception.

I am recently serving a notice period in my current organization. I have 2 offers in hand and I am a bit confused about where to move. First is giving me a kind of work that I have always wanted but is demanding relocation to a city where the cost of living is very much high, Saturdays working and average pay. The second is giving me a basic working pattern (I do not enjoy it too much) but it's allowing me to stay back at my current location, more salary than the first one. Help me to choose.

Interviewed for a senior strategist role and as we were griping about how clients can be, I said “oh yeah well the dream job is to never work with clients again right?!” And the recruiter just got back to me that “the role requires client interaction so that’s a dealbreaker”.
