I’ve decided that if given the choice a hybrid situation is the best way forward for me. I’m thinking three days a week in my home office and two days a week on the couch in the den.

I'm not convinced strategy as we know it in the agency world is even worth it at this point. We pay lip service to it, we scope for it, we have CSOs, but at the end of the day beyond new business, it just isn't held in high esteem - and I don't mean the skepticism it's always garnered.
For every "amazing" insight that "fueled" a "human-centric communications solution", there are 15 briefs that just recycle the same insight now as clients just want the work to get done.

One time I was SO wasted at my now exes family’s big xmas party... when it was over everyone went to bed or home, I had to pee so bad but I was too drunk to remember where the bathroom is so I opened a door and it had a small space inside and I just went in the dark

The next morning it turns out that someone peed in the closet inside of his mom’s purse where she had her now damaged passport and documents. She was furious and the family was shocked, I had no idea how to tell them so I didn’t...

Does anybody actually work for their apartment, house, wedding, children, anything anymore? I honestly feel like I work with 98% parent fund babies. Maybe it’s NY but fuck, I find it all pathetic.

I am at a crossroads. I believe I’m on the verge of a promotion, but I have no timeline and clear steps provided for me - so I worry it will never happen. So I’m interviewing for positions at my current title and higher. I see merit in both, but haven’t found a job that makes me thrilled to jump ship yet. I’m also ready to start having kids, but I don’t feel like I’m at the right level in my career to start sacrificing time away from my goals. I feel stuck. Like there isn’t a clear path for me.

Being an immigrant, I’m pretty upfront with new employers about the fact that I’ll need 3 weeks to visit my family back home on the other side of the planet. Most employers are pretty chill contd.
