Did the company you work at do anything above and beyond it’s normal compensation practices to account for inflation this past year? My organization generally gives everyone a 2-4% raise each year by default (sometimes they add merit-based increases on top of that-but most get the 2-4%) - but they did not do anything to account for inflation in 2021 which was 6%+. I am part of leadership - and we are discussing how to deal with this - curious about other experiences/suggestions.

Would appreciate some mentoring on my next steps. I started a financial services consulting company leaning more specifically towards small business/sole props to make their processes more efficient in the fin tech space. I also have a salaried position for a start-up. So, the start-up isn't doing well and, as an experiment, I tried to just offer my services and what I know I was capable of doing.
