Just received my I140 (Indian EB2). What happens if I lost my job after 180 days? Can I transfer to H4 (my SO on H1), and later file for a H1 using my I140 with a new employer? What is if i go back to india? Can i apply for my H1 anytime (without going through lottery) and move back to US? I am trying to understand how safe is having I140?

Separately EY fishes, do you know if EY withdraws the I140 if you leave the firm before 180 days?

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. While I act incredibly fast if not immediately with some, I sometimes take 1-2 weeks with couple of hours worthy ones. Sometimes I ignore, procrastinate or simply other more urgent things come up to increase the delay. Also I work with 3 managers in my team which doesn’t help with expectations nor guidance. My H1-B expires on April 2022. My perm is currently in process and they are applying for H1B extension and H4 visa extension for my spouse. The immigration team said that they can apply for an H4 ead as well. Is that possible? My H1b visa started April 2016 on i-94 and and is stamped as start date April 2016. I have only been physically in the US for 5 years and 2 months. I am confused on how can they still file for an EAD? Am I missing something?

Deloitte started my green card process in 2019. Went through prevailing wage last September, then they paused the process I guess due to covid and political reasons.
