Will be happy to share my candidature in detail
That seems really low. You should be a lot more than that. What’s the role description?
I would honestly just look at two things-
1. How much of a difference is this pay from your current employer? If it’s anything less than 30% then forget about it. Even if it is at 30, take that offer back to Meta and negotiate with them. It’s a great way to bump your pay & stay at your current place.
2. Why are you considering a move? Meta is great, irrespective of what’s going on right now, in a few months it’ll be all back to normal. Are you not getting the exposure you want?
Meta may be having problems but I wouldn’t recommend anyone leaving Meta to join Uber, Snap or Netflix. Unless you’re a senior software developer.
Just my opinion.
Back to your question. Yes, it’s an insult. I can’t believe they were audacious enough to offer that low!
Why don’t you try Microsoft? It may sound boring but they have a solid future ahead of them
I’d question why you were leaving Meta for Uber, but that’s something else.
Anyway, most roles will have a banding associated with then based on the level and the firm will have approved the hire up to the max of the band.
The recruiter job is to get you in and try and save as well, but there’s always wiggle room unless you’re at the top of the band.
If you wanted even more, things like equity and signing bonuses are far more in the recruiter control outside of base to negotiate on if you’re already at the top of the band for the role you’ve been hired in for.
I’m just a little nervous about the recruiter making it seem like this was non negotiable.
It is low .
Negotiate!!!!! You are worth more! Negotiate everything!!

Any bonus potential or commission? It really seems like there should be.
I definitely forgot to mention the commission part. Seems just like a lower base.
What is the total potential to earn after commission? My company offers a lower base to sales reps also but the commission structure is above industry standards and our reps end up making more that way in a year. It's a win win for the employer and reps.
45k base plus commission (potential to earn $200k). I apologize about leaving that part out. For some reason I expected a much higher base but if this is within industry standards then I’m ok with that.
