Prestigious position for a senior?

In my opinion if your firm hired you back it's because the people you work for see you have potential. I don't think it would be bad to work to advance your career. I suggest that you don't get offended if you don't get accepted. Try not to dwell in the past. I'd only avoid applying for something if you know it's going to take you away from the exact thing you got hired to do 100% of the time.

In my experience boomerangs tend to be high(er) performers who realize the grass isn't always greener. Your mentor likely believes in your potential, what you can offer your firm, and is giving you an opportunity to grow and stay engaged. No harm in applying and giving it a shot, if you have the chance

Talk to the current partner you work for and get their opinion. If they care about you and it's that good of a position, they should support you in it.

Coming up on 7 months and I would finish out this busy season so as not to leave my engagements screwed. Was going to talk to my counselor who is also my senior mgr on 2 clients but not sure if they'll think I'm super flaky

It's like a specialist program you have to be nominated for

It's tricky because I'm currently in a client service role and this would be to take a deep dive into the field I work in but is not client service. Worried about burning the relatively new bridges and client base I've built for something I might not get

Well it's not like they would fire you if you didn't get the other spot, would they? Perhaps instead of worrying/wondering you should just ask someone of senior manager or above (that you trust) in your new office for their take. (I should take my own advice!)

Also, how long has it been since you rejoined the firm? If it's one month that's weirder than if you've already done one busy season at the role you were re-hired for

I think you should go for it.

I would like to use my summer internship experience in the Big-4 consulting space to potentially move into Microsoft for full time. I am trying to reach out to any possible network, anyone here would like to help please? Microsoft

Ive been put on a project based on my capabilities to get things done quickly and efficiently. I’m put on a project each time because of it. The work keeps becoming more and more and she continues to give me the same comments saying that I do a great job and she promised that she would be able to move me in a different position by next year. At what point should I assume this as me being taking advantage and start lookin for other opportunities? Should I negotiate a higher pay?

Does case interview have the same weights for different roles at McKinsey & Company? Had a final round interview with a fintech team last week, 5 30-45 min interviews over the course of a few hours. Met with the majority of the team I’d be joining and the manager. I thought the vibes were great and on my end everything seemed to go awesome, mutual fit was there, got along with everyone great, my skills and experience align right with the role. During the wrap up recruiter and i talked next steps he said he’d do two things 1. Send me an email that afternoon with everyone’s email
