Take the interview! Whether for practice, leverage, or the actual opportunity.
Do what's best for you. I know it's hard when you feel you may hurt people you genuinely get along with. But its a business move, nothing personal.
I agree, take the interview regardless. You can always decide later whether you'd want to take the job, but you gotta go for all the doors that open up for you@
Take the interview - you can always turn down an offer. The interview at least buys you time to think. Weigh the work-life balance and culture at your employer's against the quality of life 20k more a year would actually afford you. And remember: don't stay with an employer simply for rapport or to avoid worsening their retention issues - that's a recipe for resentment down the line when you know you could be earning more elsewhere.
The opportunity just opened up so grab it while you can. I think you already know what you're gonna choose and just needed a little push to get you to make the decision. Kudos! Update us
Take it! It's promising and yet at the same time, seems to still leaves some room for growth. Also, you'll still have a company to fall back on regardless. Lucky you!
