If I was working that much then the Best way I focus would be looking for other jobs and networking with recruiters.

Lol this is also me right now, so I decided to start looking for jobs elsewhere and will just have to wait to take my CPA I have 0 time to study and every year my managers say they’ll help me carve out time and then work me to death

This is called public accounting. Some people have it bad, some people get lucky and not so bad. You my friend, just have shit luck. You can try to get off, they say they will try to accommodate, meanwhile they’re squeeze the work out of you until you’re fed up and leave while you are waiting for the “accommodation.”

I worked on a team with a A2 rolled into our busy season. Our SM told us she’ll work less hours because she worked through a brutal busy season before ours and we all understand her need to take some pause and rest. It didn’t prevent her to promote that year. If you really can’t handle, consider this route

like

Nice. I tried the same thing as the A2 because I was around 160% utilization after a few 95-105 hour weeks and got nothing but attitude and sarcasm from my team.

If you feel comfortable, talk with your manager. Brainstorm different testing approaches (can SAP be used instead?) Also, try and use the help of the offshore team as much as possible

To make things less stressful/free up time

I always feel like this when I roll off a busy engagement. Give yourself a week to get in the new groove. Switching gears on a different client can be tough

like

Set your boundaries and expect other to follow it homie. Otherwise they’ll populate your week (in your case, every hour you’re not eating, sleeping, or pooping) and you won’t have time for yourself. But u ok tho?

like

Public accountants have major issues with setting boundaries. Anytime I have a staff start working over 60, I start counseling them on the important of personal health, and work life balance. I want quality efficient work out of you lugs, and your brains can only give me that if you SLEEP. The decline in work product quality is extremely obvious.

It’d trite, but raise your hand and let your PML know where you stand.

I joined Accenture recently in Level 8 and have been recently rolled off from a project to bench. The issue here is I joined as a Scrum master and could not clear 2 client interviews to get into a project. This is making me anxious regarding my job security. Any inputs are welcome.

I'm currently on the Bench, and may have just found a project which I'd like to join. Would it be okay to email a senior manager directly and ask for a quick conversation, or would it be better to wait for a formal requisition on the internal jobs position site?

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.

Pro tip for whoever needs it: If you want your legs to grow stop doing one “all-inclusive” leg day per week and start splitting up the muscle groups. For example, have one day a week dedicated to Hamstrings/Glutes/Abductors/Calves and one day a week dedicated to Quads/Adductors/Calves. This way you are able to get much more volume for each muscle group per week. Additionally, the intensity is MUCH higher…which is also a key component to muscle growth in my opinion. Give it a shot!
