Just saw a social media post by a CCCO that makes it sound like he’s suffering through this new WFH routine. Jesus. Get some perspective. And what is so tough about WFH? So old fashioned.

As a freelancer, I have many years of experience WFH. I started doing it back when ICQ was around. I hate WFH. I only do it when I have to. Like a bad weather day or a pandemic. Otherwise, I prefer having a defined distance between where I do my work and where I relax with my family. Why do WFH fans not accept that some people don’t like it? It’s clear that some like it, some don’t. There is room for both types of people.

Many people have kids and tiny apartments. Imagine trying to do a job with a 2 year old that is basically trying to find ways to inadvertently hurt themselves running around.

Dog owners: any thoughts on how to accommodate a new puppy into the consulting lifestyle (about me: I don’t travel, have a SO that works less than me to share responsibility with but they cannot WFH)

I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.

I recently got a puppy but have avoided telling people at work out of fear they will assume I’m not really working when I’m WFH if I have a puppy. Am I being irrational?

So I want to get a puppy with my wife. She has to go into work M-F, and I can work from home. Work recommends I go in 3 days a week starting in January, and we have a bring your dog to work program where you can keep your dog by your desk. I’ve never owned a dog before, but want to be smart about it. What should we keep in mind, and what would you recommend doing?

Hi, me and my wife are looking to get a 5 months old lab puppy. We are in difficult projects which requires around 10-12 hours everyday. We work from home. This is going to be our first pet. We are not sure how much time commitment is needed? Not want to regret decision later, can someone please share their experience?

The stock market is at a record high and billionaire wealth is up 36% in the pandemic. A remote employee who lives a few miles from Disney World said there's a line of cars outside his house right now. Turns out there's a drive-thru food bank that starts 7.5 miles away.

I currently WFH. However I expect that we will return to the office by summer or fall. I live 1.5 miles away from work, but I don’t have a car. I want to avoid buying a car if possible. What are the best ways to get to work. I live in the city so biking is a little too dangerous for me. Any ideas?

Wow…covid is really over. I live in a rural area where we knew covid was happening but it never really impacted the community or daily life. However when I’d go into the city it was very very obvious there were huge life impacts and fear. I just went into the city for the first time in about 3 months and it’s like covid never happened. It makes me wonder how many other things that have drastically changed (like wfh and hand sanitizer) will go back to normal as people go back to normal.

WORK FROM HOME SUCKS!!! I can't take it anymore. I went for a drive last night after kids put to bed and it felt like a vacation. I get the no commute and more free time, but don't you really miss casual team meals, seeing new places, vacation points, etc?
