How do you all tackle people who come back into your life when it’s convenient for them? My former friend from college has been pushing to do zoom calls with my friend group. She doesn’t live in the same city as the rest of us and before COVID, she wasn’t involved with our lives. Now that her friends in her city are MIA, she wants to reconnect with the group but she makes insensitive comments and I just don’t have interest in being her friend. How do I convey this to my friend group?

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. Also, do interviewers still appreciate a hand written thank you for the interview?

I have been dealing with passive aggressive bullying for almost two years now from my “mentor” in my CFP journey and one of the three advisors for whom I am part of succession plan. Me 30F, her 62F. I can give specific examples, but frequent humiliation in front of clients and colleagues, leaving me out of meetings (not allowing me on the zoom), ignoring all forms of contact, trying to find mistakes, etc. I’ve tried addressing this with the male partners to no avail. Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?
