I meant “even at a boutique” because they pay less than ACN. Functional Salesforce people are a dime a dozen. If you have deep tech experience and can still understand the business, you will be golden.
He has a training course on Pluralsight that is absolute gold.
Currently @ $155k managing Sales Ops and Salesforce (Functional > Dev) at a martech/SaaS startup in NYC. $135-$160k + bonus is definitely not unheard for 5+yrs of experience. Consultants at ISVs are also easily within that range. Just wondering, anyone know how little Deloitte is paying their US Delivery Center staff?
100% go the dev route. Tons of functional admins right now so salaries are propelling downward. Might be jumping back to consulting or just stay in middle management forever.

Yep he is spot on, as usual. 150k+ is easier in this ecosystem if you were in it. It’s getting harder.
