I heard that on the webcast today. How are they going to make sure they have enough staff to promote to senior and manager down the line? It's hard to keep staff utilized as it is w/out a remote dedicated team member.
It's only gonna get worse. The PCS practice is piloting a RTM( Remote Team Member) model where they can document and prepare entire FSLI's in Aura and are supposed to have something like 25% of total hours outsourced to them.
Yes PwC. This is common at the Dallas office. We were lowest in the nation for GDM utilization 2 years ago, so now it's basically tied to your rating and people are desperate. Every team I've seniored has had to fake requests, send off samples of 1, turn in shit already tested ourselves, etc. just to survive. I'm so tired of it.
All cases in my experience
@OP: OH. MY. GAWD. That is brilliant manipulation of the system. The partner is a genius.
They'll ensure it by putting higher and higher demands on new hires so you eventually start off doing what used to be senior work. It has already happened.
I feel like it's already at that point. The dedicated team member feels like straight up replacing staff.
We do a good job at the Tampa GDM.
Last years audited revenue ? As in already filed and had an opinion on it ?
Hahaha. They just don't know how else to cut the costs. Race to the bottom.
Let's save money....my forcing you to send garbage for the sake of hitting an hours target. Don't they see normal headcount and utilization not go down? When I was at pwc we used to do the work in parallel to get hours since it was usually garbage anyways we got back that had to be redone.
RSM1, yeah, there was a comedic moment in our scorecard meeting. "GDM is up, realization is down." Only a public accountant couldn't see they're related.
