Anyone wonder what clouds feel like
I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

I wouldn't take advantage of new or existing benefits when I knew I was giving notice - ones that front load. Regular healthcare go for it. But intentionally spending your new fitness subsidy and giving notice raises flags and can result in that being clawed back.
ETA: if you Already signed, I'd give notice asap to avoid any conflicts of interest.

G1 awesome! It's actually at the discretion of the firm. Nowhere in the law (state, local, or federal) does it say companies have to provide certain benefits (minus FMLA or similar I don't know about). I don't think fitness or WFH subsidies fall in the same class as FMLA bc they are firm benefits not federal or based on locality.
But I'm likely off on this, I'm not sure the exact APRs. Yes I'm dumb. Sorry for providing irrelevant and misinformation on this post. I only thought that it might be helpful since I saw it happen before but now I realize I was wasting peoples time. Thanks for schooling me G1.

Congrats. In Consulting, they pay next bonuses in June. Per the CEO, in December, people under market value are getting a salary adjustment, it’s not for everyone and it’s not a bonus.
