Marsh & McLennan I am moving 2 hours from my office. My manager says i have to come 2 days to office. When i come to the office its only me and couple of other people. No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

I’m waiting for my background check as I accepted an offer for Remote Licensed Insurance Customer Service Rep. While I’m a 1099 for my current role, I still haven’t told them I am leaving for a full time role that can change my life. It’s a small agency, and I’ve gotten close with the director. She’s the employment reference I gave; I’m a nervous that when they receive the call to verify employment, my days will be difficult. I’d hate to be let go before I start with LM. Thoughts? Call everyone who leaves you a voicemail back and do not be afraid to tell customers you need 7 (business) days to get something processed. You should learn to give yourself time to juggle the moving parts of claims effectively.
If you can circle back sooner and exceed expectations, great. Hell, don't even be afraid to ask for time on your first claims... Make THAT your PRACTICE.
Of course, this is all subject to Canada's department of insurance. Time to respond =/= time to process. Give your response to the inquiry in good faith and timely. Then ask for time to process in good faith. Your future self will thank you for not being burned out too soon.
Also, ask your peers for help, YOUTUBE construction and water damage (if you're in property/structure).
My experience is in property/structure so my comment may not apply entirely.
