While not getting paid unless the session is completed isn’t uncommon if it’s a 1099 position… it sounds like none of that was made clear to you and now they aren’t supporting you to build your caseload. I’d be concerned too.

Is this with a large company or a local group practice? I've heard of this happening with independent practices (they can't pay you money that they don't bring in)... But I agree they should have at least some sort of late fee. Unfortunately if group practices paid therapists for no shows and cancellations, they'd either have to reduce your overall wages or reduce the workforce.

no i dont blame u for feeling that way , thats surprising u are getting that many no shows/ cancellations. is this a medicaid based practice?

No. I don't blame you one bit. I would be the same exact way.

Hi everyone, just wanted to share a site that’s been really helpful to me for building mockups for my portfolio & client presentations! It’s called https://artboard.studio , it’s a free/subscription mockup creation site that (for me) has taken all the miserable hassle out of finding good mockup templates, buying them, versioning a million times in photoshop, etc. It costs like $12-13 a month but has been well worth it to me. Hopefully it’s helpful to some of you as well

I know other firms have staffing models where consultants themselves “bid on” or apply to different projects. How feasible is such a model at CV? So maybe after 6-9 month tenure, people bid on projects based on preference/PD goals, get selected based on availability/expertise, and if they don’t get staffed on choice of project, then they get assigned by the staffing team. What do folks think?

Client posted a role I'm interested in and definitely qualified for. Is it bad to apply or what could go wrong if I decide to? It would be a pretty significant raise.

I’m losing all hope. I’ve been actively applying and interviewing for 8 months now. 3 final round interviews that I was turned away from. Now I’m running out of companies to apply for / people to refer me etc. I seriously don’t know what to do. Is it possible I am just stuck for a while now? I don’t like my industry so the hope of a recruiter reaching out based off my current work experience is worthless because I’m trying to slightly pivot to and ops type role at a start up. HELP

I work at st Christopher’s hospital for children in Philadelphia PA. And RD starting salary is $61,000. I think this is very poor for having a specialty and going thru 5-8 years of schooling with 3.5 years experience. The hospital also did not give the clinical nutrition department a bonus because we aren’t considered direct patient care?? We are 100% direct patient care on the floors and every unit. Thoughts on this for any fellow RDs?
