Just started as a 1st year in a mid size firm doing IT/IA but I’m put on an audit job for the upcoming busy season because the firm’s IT/IA business is small. Do you think I can leave within a year?

The audit job will make you a better IT/IA in the long run. Better to do it now when expectations are low then do it later as a senior and expectations are higher.

Agree 100% with A1. Unless you are doing ITGC testing only (ew), most IT audits are in support of either financial or service objectives. Understanding these objectives will help correctly scope the IT work required, as well as what type of testing is appropriate

If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
