Other than Big 4 and probably RSM/BDO/Grant Thornton, which public accounting companies are open to transfer H1-B visa? I am in Tax.
How hard is it to move to FAANG from a relatively unknown boutique consulting firm? Are there extra leaps compared to MBB or Big 4, or if you get a referral you have similar odds?
Does Big 4 hires H1-B transfers for the positions that they originally don’t hire someone for who would go through H1-B lottery?
There's a consulting team (probably big 4) that's been working in the conference room next to mine and they have 2 Costco-sized bags of trail mix on their table. #respect
I’m an incoming AC1 at Bain and I have spent the summer studying a bit for the GMAT since we had a stipend. I took it with no practice and received a 640. After studying on an off for a couple of months I received a 690. I’m likely going to cancel the score since I realize it isn’t enough for M7. To provide some more insight on my profile. I graduated undergrad from UofM BBA Magna Cum Laude, have interned in Big 4 consulting, IB, and VC, and I’m an Asian-American. What should I do?
If you left your Big 4 gig and had these two options, which would you take & why? Slalom - slight bump, better work life bal., still consulting Local F100 - slightly less pay, .....
I don’t see many transitions at the analyst/associate level from one consulting firm to another unless it’s to or from Big 4. Does anybody know why that is? Is it frowned upon to do this at such an early level?
I don’t have a degree but consulting experience at Big 4. I learned you can get a bachelor degree in wine tasting, do you think it would still be accepted as a regular bachelor degree for future jobs?
Is there a prestige gap between the big 4 and ACN that is big enough to be worth taking a detour to the big four before exiting consulting? Depending on your perspective you might not see acn as less prestigious than say ey/pwc/kpmg but curious what people think the general perception is. (Not talking about strategy& or Parthenon)
Anyone at b4 merge your phone number to the company issued cell phone? Do they get to keep your number if you leave? I’ve had the same phone number my entire life and don’t want to lose it…not that I ever plan on leaving.
When you explain to your non-accounting friends what the Big 4 is and they say, "oh sounds like the Ivy League for accounting firms" >>>>
What’s the general experience with leaving B4 going to smaller, local firms? Is it big fish in small pond? Worth it? Hate it?
@Big 4 consultants / advisory fish: Is your trading policy super strict? Just got married and my wife works at EY. Seems like it’s a very very strict policy. Is EY an outlier?
Joining as a Senior Consultant to Big 4. My PPT skills are limited. How do I make up for this skill gap? Any resources you would recommend?
Currently working as a due diligence analyst at a well known bank but looking to move to a front-facing role. I have almost 2 years of experience so fairly early in my career. I got an offer for a Transfer Pricing role at a big 4, not sure if I should take it or try getting a corporate banking/IM role at another Bank. Any advice? Is the transition from big 4 back to banking going to be harder?
Recent grad hoping to switch to a big 4 firm. Undergrad recruiting went real shitty and I was wondering if experienced hire recruiting in general is as competitive?
How difficult is it to find another job unemployed with a few years of big 4 experience (no CPA)?
Looking to exit to a tech company - has anyone ever approached a DEI person at the company you are applying to on LinkedIn? Is this something worth pursuing or should I just apply directly?
Any useful advice on coping with feelings of failure? I have invested a lot of time in the past 5 years to specialise in my field (int'l arb), moved countries twice, invested more money than I currently have to requalify where I am now (UK), and still cannot get even a single interview for an associate position. I have been struggling financially for a while now (I am paid half of what a trainee earns in London), and have been feeling quite disappointed with myself. Should I give up? (Cont.)
Can anyone refer me for Wipro - AWS Opening . Please get in touch i will share my details accordingly.

Accenture SAP Practice, is it healthy and great culture? If I want to develop my core program management skills, it is a good one to join?
currently working in house as social media manager. i’m still a relatively new hire (less than 6 months), but really have hit the ground running and have made some serious progress in the company. recently my brand acquired another business and they are now asking me to manage both social and content needs. it’s definitely something i can take on but it’s still a challenge. is it appropriate to ask for a raise? should i wait a couple months in to managing the new brand to see how it goes? help!
When you had your first child, how old were you? What was your household income and net worth? Did you feel ready financially?
I’m all about that work from home life. However it is insulting and unprofessional when a colleague who is in the office blows off a scheduled meeting with you when you are virtual as they bumped into another colleague in the office. Anyone else noticing issues like this now that we are in this hybrid mode. How do you address it?
Travel budget crackdown... Flying Southwest 😱
MBBers, how did y’all prepare for case studies / interview process? Any discerning difference between how Big4 interviews are conducted?
How do you get past imposter syndrome? Someone more senior than me is encouraging me to apply to a role that I feel totally unqualified for. I hate my current job, but I’m good at it and am scared to fail the interview for this new position. I feel like if it doesn’t work out I’m letting the people who support me down :(
150K in Chicago or 200K in Los Angeles? Married, single income, 2 kids (1 and 2) Follow up, what salary would make the move to LA a no brainer? Can possibly negotiate up to 250K but will take some convincing
PWC folks, what is an expected salary for a senior associate in a tier 1 city? Looking to negotiate my offer.
W, St. Regis, or Las Alcobas in Mexico City? Also open to high-end boutique hotel recommendations...
Delta from LHR to ATL is delayed from 2:05pm to 6pm. Will they just give me €300/€600 (if it’s longer than 4 hrs) if I just ask for it, since it’s by EU law? Or do I have to go through hassles?
What do you do when you work from home?
Deloitte’s Diversity & Inclusion group hosted Nicole Hannah-Jones today and it was a goddamn breath of fresh air to hear her speak candidly. Even called the firm out in some places. If you haven’t seen her NYT 1619 project, educate yourselves https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/08/14/magazine/1619-america-slavery.html
