Don't be hesitant to ask questions internally, observe top sales people to learn their styles and develop your own! Be curious and have tough skin and take no BS. You got this! As someone always told me, it'll go through peaks and valleys but as long as you keep your head down and feet moving and don't isolate yourself you'll get the support you need to succeed! Win as a team lose as a team. Good luck!!
Thanks ❤️
Try not to take rejection personally. It's hard, but it's par for the course. Once I accepted that fact, I got much more fulfillment/enjoyment out of my job.
Thanks
I live on LinkedIn, not just for prospects and following their companies, but also a few sales folks who lift me up and provide great ideas. Not everything is transferable but the principles generally are. Don't know if you're remote but this kind of "community" and outside thinking has been invaluable. A few:
Josh Braun
Jen Allen
Will Allred
Welcome and good luck!
Thanks
Best lesson learned - Sales results are a result of three levers: quantity, quality and priority. Figure out how to move those levers. Quantity is often the easier one, this is basically how many leads you contact, opps you open, meetings you have etc. Quality is your actual sales skills, knowing how to structure your pitch, how well you listen, how good you are at moving the customer through attention, interest and desire towards action. Finally priority is knowing which accounts to disqualify and which to focus on. If you know your levers, you can control your results.
And always - ALWAYS - be humble and nice to your Presales. They are your ride and die.
This was soooo good! Thank you!
Confidence. Fake it until you make it if you don’t have a lot of it. In tech, a heavily male dominated industry, you have to demonstrate and “prove” your ability to lead discussions, speak with executives, and not let the overwhelming masculine energy intimidate you. All with confidence. If someone interrupts you in a rude manner, never be afraid to say “just a second” and finish your thoughts. Command respect, respectfully. Good luck.
Thanks
