Just started Intermittent Fasting - any tips on how to avoid snacking at work? I usually do a lot of stress eating at work and worried I might go back to my old habits when work gets busy..

Increase your water intake. That helps me reduce snacking tendencies

Just have some healthy snacks on hand for when the munchies hit. You should still be eating a good amount of calories, so snacking is ok, just in a shorter window.

Water and coffee. But take it slow. Don’t jump into 16-8 if you aren’t ready. Ease your way into it and over time you will naturally become less hungry in the morning. Be careful you don’t significantly under cut your calories by moving to a shorter time eating window

I tried it for a bit and couldn't get past the snacking/sugar cravings the first round.

Then I started the low carb, no sugar restrictions and wow is OMAD fasting so much easier now! Highly recommend it.

And before someone comments, "keto diet" has such a negative connatation for me that I don't like using it. I'm not drinking your crazy Instagram shakes.... I'm just being more conscious about my relationship with food

Agree! So much easier once you get into a fat adapted state!

My biggest hurdle for the past 18 odd years has been my constant insecurities of my weight - physical appearences and comfortability in the skin I wear.

It has been a conscious choice of lifestyle and innumerable efforts to deal or cope with the day to day ordeals of weight imbalances. 3 years ago I made a decision to end this long lasting toxic relationship with my weight and in year and halfs time, I managed to scale myself from being 260 pounds to 205. But it has caught up without mercy

I can’t function. I don’t have energy to do the smallest things. All I want to do is sleep. I don’t have to feel pain or deal with life when I sleep. I left my job because of this. I have a history of clinical depression and this is the worst episode I’ve ever experienced. I made an appointment with a therapist and to get on meds. Do I qualify for state disability even though I quit my job?

I'm an RN of 7 years, experience as a coordinator, on committees and do all the things. But now I just don't want to go to work anymore. I have anxiety every morning over nothing, just having to go perform my job. I could do my job in my sleep so I'm just lost and confused. My body is clearly sending me messages to leave. But where do I go? I think I need to step out of patient care.

Any WFM nurses out there? Better work-life balance??

Is it possible to lose weight with minimum workout and no extreme diets? I know I have to change my eating habits but I really don't believe that cutting carbs or sugar completely out of my life is the answer. Was planning to have green smoothies in the morning, and then lunch and dinner 50% veggies, 25% carbs and 25% protein. If I have a carby meal like pasta then the other one in the same day has to be only veggies and protein. Does this sound ok?

Anybody tried Ginger or therapy through texting? Would love to know your thoughts. I can see it being neat since I tend to express my feelings and thoughts better in writing.
