I’m interviewing for an associate position at my firm’s competitor. My main reason for doing this is because I don’t feel valued at my current firm and the pay at the competitor is substantially more. This obviously is not something I can say at my interview. Working on a tech team with only men?? I’m a new hire as of last year and I’ve wanted to work in consulting or tech snd I got my dream job being able to do both. Im realizing now that I don’t like this specific position nor do I like my team. They are all older (40+) men and many are from other countries. For those with a baby and a toddler, what does your sleeping arrangement look like?. We have a 3 bedroom (1 for us, 1 for my 4yr old and a guest room). I'm a third year in litigation, AM200, really great experience and resume so far, and have family/friend connections (not in law) to the city. I would like to move to a large regional firm that pays at market ($150k ish). Any insight on how to get noticed without connections to the firm? Anyone have tips on who is hiring and who would consider someone relocating? TIA.

Mostly just expressing frustration, but can we normalize talking about how many hours we’ve billed (and not in that bs I billed 160 this week…)? I feel like especially more junior folks at big law firms feel like they’re constantly working too much and/or not enough.
