It is really hard to get a perfect quant score. The easiest way to increase your total score now would be to focus on the verbal section. Look up GMAT Ninja verbal videos on YouTube. They are super helpful.
Btw, 730 is a VERY nice baseline. Good luck!
When I went to a gmat prep class the instructor said based on his experience teaching for several years that the variance for the official test is about 20 points so much more accurate than tests from places like Kaplan (40 point variance)
I found manhattan prep practice exams to be tougher if you want to challenge yourself a little more. Scored almost 100 points higher on real test
730 is already really awesome lol
Nice - if it's an official gmat practice test, it's pretty accurate! I studied for ~2 weeks afterwards and bumped my score 10 points on the real thing.
I found the official GMAT practice tests to be pretty representative of the actual test. Scored 760 & 780 on my last two practices and then got 750 day of but was careless and rushed through a RC question incorrectly.
Do the online practice questions to identify your week areas then only practice hard questions in those areas to learn the concepts. You should be able to get 760+ within a month of studying.
Fwiw I scored ~30 pts less than the avg score I got on kaplan, ~10 pts less than the avg on the official gmat, and right on par with manhattan prep.
Any recommendations for how I should focus my studying? Goal is 760+
For further context: I got a 40 on the verbal (91st percentile according to the exam) and 49 on quant (75th). I studied math in university, so I can get my quant higher with some review of the types of questions typically asked, but what else should I do to really ramp up my score? Will perfect on the quant section get me there?
