Just took my GMAT yesterday and have 4 weeks to increase my score by 20-30 points. Any tips?

At some points, I feel I am becoming a problem magnet 🧲. Anything I touch or get involved in, tun into a nightmare despite doing my best not to screw up. I was a top performer a few months ago, and now I am a team blocker. I feel it so hard to disappoint people around me whom I respect a lot. Helpless 😞😞😞

I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp. Thinking of pursuing ISB MBA for a career jump. Present CTC 12.75. Any suggestions on which course shall I go for or any other alternatives. I can go for regular MBA too. (My age is 36, if it helps).

Currently have delta business gold. For some reason amex just credited me 10k miles on my delta account. Would they take away the points if I cancel the card?

Is it worth it to go back to school for a graduate degree even if I’ve been in Compliance for 10 yrs? Or obtaining certifications is a better path. Don’t want to spend 50k on a degree like a Compliance one that is really not going to do anything for me salary wise. Thoughts? Thank you!!

I’m 21 about to graduate from a top 40 school (BU, BC, NEU). I’m going into restructuring at an (FTI, Alvarez,Alix). I’d really like to get into HBS or GSB in about 5 years. I feel like productivity would sky rocket if we didn’t have 10+ hours a week added of admin work/agile ceremonies/status meetings, and you just let developers and analysts do their job. Why are we spending hours learning how to estimate story points (for example) rather than improving production?

Advice on how to figure out your next step in education while you are still working? I know I want a masters (whether it’s MBA or something else), just not sure which programs to go after based on my career goals. I’m completely overloaded at work (manager on 2 projects) and barely have time to think. Do they make coaches/advisors for this? Anyone been through something similar?

Spent 3 years in consulting and ready to move on. Threw an app out to Georgetown and got in with pretty minimal effort. It seems like a prestigious school plus the DC network is pretty key to my interest in Public Sector work. The thing is I didn’t really put as much effort into the b school apps as I could have and reused an old GRE score from around 3 years ago rather than study and retake it. Should I maybe hold off a year and apply to a slightly higher ranking school?

Making about 110K TC in industry. Been thinking about getting an MBA in 1-2 years, but not sure if it’s worth it since I’d likely exit back into strategy, which is what I’m currently doing. I think my TC by the time I finish B-School would maybe have a 20K - 30K differential depending on bonus compensation. My parents are pushing me to get one as they’ll pay for it, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. Are there any B-School grads with thoughts on the value given my situation?
