Love it
Wait. What about 5?
Major urban areas the formal business hours are 9-6, assuming an hour lunch break. Speaking strictly on paper terms.
In my experience, I’ve mostly noticed dads would take on dropping the kid off in the morning - and moms picking them up. Then carrying the burden of “leaving at 6 pm” when work is still bustling.
It’s nice to see it the other way around so other dads can consider doing the same and things can be more balanced.
As hard as it is, the move to leave at five to help with toddlers’ bedtimes, and get back to work from 8:00 until whenever is the way to be. Happy wife, happy kids. I can watch tv or whatever when they’re older.
So as a woman who leaves to pick up her kid, is that also appreciated or am I just gonna get shade posts again about how I’m “getting out of jail free” ?
Must be married to a lawyer/doctor
Once a week I had to leave work at 5:45 to pick up my kid. It was very stressful to wrap everything up or put things and people on hold until I could get back online at 8 PM. And that was ONLY one day a week. 😕
