Is this English? Also what's with your use of [brackets]
Me *can* almost eat [broccoli]. Church.
I know some pretty arrogant dentists.
I didn't go into consulting because I get hot about client services. All about the experience. No other job can provide all this access to senior leaders
Sorry, but wrong. Proofreading means to examine your text carefully to find correct typographical errors and mistakes in grammar, style, and spelling. Feel free to fact check at your local public library or Internet. Sincerely, arrogant D2 who likes long walks on the beach.
Growth, money, opportunities
Long term growth, short term shit.
Make partner and retire rich.
All kidding aside, you should really proofread prior to sending. It's not arrogance, just a desire to provide excellent service to clients...thus why Big 4 consultants are so successful and sought after.
A1, D2 - haha. Thank you. Hence proved!
I love my job. I can't think of another career (with the same work demands) that provides quick upward mobility and has such intelligent leadership. I'll be a manager by next year, and definitely ahead of all my industry friends at the same age. I know it gets increasingly demanding as you move up, but so does every career. Not sure if I will stay until partner, but I can't imagine myself in industry right now.
The pay may be shitty at first but not many other careers provides a steady raise every year. It pays off in the long term. My husband's starting salary in industry was higher than mine, but I already made more than him 3 years later and obviously that gap is growing every year.
D2 - proofreading corrects grammar; not a thought process. But you make a good point. Exceptional client service may be a motivation for some, but it cannot be a driver for all consultants. So I guess the solution is, if you are not a great fan of serving clients, then don't be in consulting.
Also, I'm not saying all Big 4 consultants are arrogant. But there are many!
Person above this (too long to type 😊)...very good point.
