K&E expecting associates to be in Tuesday-Thursday starting March. how annoying! I really don’t understand the need to ever go back in office on a consistent basis.

I just wouldn't go in. What are they going to do? It'll take months to figure out who is compliant or not, and even then lateral to the million other remote friendly firms. Also, I personally know people at K&E who were hired on a remote only basis, so I'm not sure what they are trying to accomplish with this.

No salary matching, below market bonuses and now this… Not even 3 days out of the week, just specific days dictated to us. The only reason we were able to bill 15 hours a day was because of WFH so they should not expect the same performance, but they will.

Currently at $175k TC at Google working in proserv. Got an offer from BCG DV for PL @ $265k TC… thoughts? I came from consulting, the WLB at google proserv is better but not substantially than previous consulting jobs, and in all reality to reach this TC at google it’ll be another 3 (maybe 4 ) years. Covered a managers meeting for her yesterday, was with some senior members of the marketing team. A director opens the call with “we are so sorry about the impacts the layoffs have had on your teams today…” then noticed I was in the call and said “we are still notifying others so best to keep it under the radar” …25% of my team was let go three hours later with no warning😬

I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.

Corp/securities associate and lateraled to a 40-50 attorney firm earlier this year. I’m a non traditional candidate and considered a 3rd or 4th year and make $200k base. Waiting on raise/bonus info but can’t help but wonder if I could be making $100k more at a larger firm and working similar hours. I put a premium on the people I work with and have gotten a good rhythm here as well as built up a good rep so far. For reference I have billed avg. 180-200 hrs a month. Any insights?

the main partner I work for hasn’t been giving me consistent enough work (or type I want) so while I work for him still on some deals, I’ve had to go and get other work from other partners. He doesn’t regularly check in on what I’m working on. He keeps volunteering me for projects without checking if I have capacity and if he expected to know everything I’m working on… he would’ve thought I was just doing nothing the last 2 months. Everytime I work on the weekend I get into some sort of fight with my spouse. Anyone else get annoyed when their spouse constantly asks you when you’ll be done working, or asks how much longer you have to work. It annoys the hell out of me. I don’t want be working on a Sunday anymore than my spouse wants me to be working. But I have to. I don’t need reminded that I am disappointing my family in addition to working on the weekend. Any leads for good contract doc review attorneys/companies? Working on a complex internal investigation that requires analysis far beyond simple responsiveness coding and getting quotes that outsource to India for a fraction of the cost of reviewing in house is actually not what I’m looking for.
