New to Fishbowl?

Biggest challenge for me was establishing a new network and learning the new tech. Still getting paid US dollars so no change there
Hopefully more US dollars since you were able to negotiate. Unlike the normal yearly “here’s what you getting hope you like it”.
Just think...4% raises unless you’re a favorite...4% raises unless you’re a favorite...
Ah gotcha. It’s ridiculous.
Their tech is amazing! If I were staying in public LT I’d consider jumping from EY to DT.
Anyone else jump from B4 to B4? What was experience?
Never thought I would go to a competitor. Having done so (despite needing to build a new network) love the culture and technology. Couldn’t be happier. All the best yourself !
I had a friend who recently did this as a director. PwC to Deloitte, he jumped because the partner route was not for him. At DT they’re trying to get him on partner track also, so it’s more of the same. Same work different faces!
Hey I’m on track for partner 😉
What city and service line? Without that could be a pointless discussion. That said - I switched a year and a half ago (west coast, tax.) and have had a great experience. Loved my old firm, but Deloitte has been amazing. Will everyone have my experience, Obviously not. My advice would be to network more beyond the recruiter. Know who you would be working for (SM, Partner). Don’t jump without talking to a team first
I am in the process to get an offer from Deloitte as well. I am changing service lines and even with that would not love unless I get a 20% raise. With this raise, I will be in a good position from salary point and would be ok if I received COLA for next few years.
How frequently does Deloitte (or any b4) hire from regional firms? At a “experienced” staff level?
Awesome!! Thank you!
