Keto is not sustainable. It can seriously mess you up. I’d talk to your doctor, and also encourage you to continue this research to find a healthy, sustainable diet for you to reach your goals!

This is so true!
I reached out to my dietician and she said if this is a 6 month fad you can try it. But in the long term your body needs many things. Additionally it’s not sustainable for you to feel guilty every time you eat something you like in my case pasta. I lost little bit of weight and moved on with life.

Do not recommend keto unless you’re a 300 pound person who needs to loose some serious weight.

I am at least 30 pounds overweight. I am following Dr. Eric Berg to lose weight. His videos are positive and supports IF and Keto. Check it out :)
I will definitely consult my doctor next time I visit him.
Hope we can all agree that Keto isn’t bad for 3 months. I will follow keto and switch to IF later. That’s my plan, let’s see if it works

like

Thank you!!

I’ve been keto off and on for 3 years. I haven’t had any of those side effects. I exercise daily, do IF, and make sure to always have my electrolytes. I started keto as a way to minimize my gluten issues. I feel so much better on keto than I do off it. Any type of Yo-Yo dieting is tough on your body, so try to minimize the times you cheat.

Did keto and dropped from 125 to 95 lbs over 5-6 month period. I kept it off for 2 years, but ultimately it just wasn’t sustainable and it started to impact my female health.

like

Depends on why you are on Keto? Weight loss or health issues?
Few years back I did keto for 3-4 months and lost A LOT of weight. Was not able to follow long term because you can only eat Greens, meat and a little bit of fatty dairy products. So if u exactly follow why ketosis works then you need to maintain the “Ketones.” I was not able to see any health issues since I did for few months only. But if you can maintain the lifestyle then why not go ahead but maybe consult your doctor.

My husband is not wanting to incur the cost of IVF even though a big chunk is covered my insurance, nor is he a fan of trying any of this all together. Anyone have advice on how to get your husband on the same page? Thanks!

Is anyone at a job they really, truly enjoy that also pays competitively (and has good benefits)? In my experience, I haven’t found anything that satisfies both. Either I love the job and I’m grossly underpaid or the job is totally mediocre but the money is great. Is it really possible to have it all or do I need to lower my standards? Maybe it’s just the way this industry is?
