Came here to say the same as BCG1! I was fooled too, those egg bites have around 9g carbs.

I often ask for a Starbucks sausage & egg sandwich, with the cheese moved to the middle. That way, I can easily trash the bread. I asked Starbucks for the nutrition facts, here you go!

FYI kale is pretty carby compared to iceberg or romaine or other lettuces. Your fats also seem low if you’re doing keto

You don’t “need to get fats in” - you want your body to fuel off of your body fat. If you’re eating too much fat your body has no need to fuel off your storage. Keto helps you regulate your hunger levels through protein and healthy fats, listen to your body, if you’re not hungry, don’t eat. You still need a calorie deficit to lose

Lots of misconceptions about keto and both the above sources do a good job of addressing those and simplifying things

Look up intermittent fasting... example go from 8pm to noon without eating includes no sugar and cream in coffee in the morning... make sure you have your chicken and beef broth ready... I would recommend collagen protein also to help your liver create bile to break down all this new fat in your diet... things I have learned... add salt to your water, your hydration is going to be out of wack soon and you will need the extra salt to hold on to water

As soon as you can — please drop that soda. I had to scale down my guilty pleasures, so I get it. That soda will keep you out of ketosis. The things you do on keto (high fat, high sodium) will harm your health if you mix with too many carbs.

I get kale has more carbs but as long as everything fits into your macros, the nutrients in kale outweigh those of iceberg

OP! How’s it going? You’ve inspired me to finally start, about a week behind you and so far surprisingly good?

McK1 - its a bit of a hassle but very doable! Things like getting grilled sandwiches and removing the buns and asking for avocado on everything are now routine. I do have a cheat meal once or twice a week but I’m still ramping up.

However, even with that, I have noticed results. My waist is noticeably slimmer and I’m excited to continue.

Protip: try with a buddy. Text each other meals and motivate!

Breakfast: Starbucks Sous Vide Egg Bites/Coffee
Lunch: Kale Salad, Chicken/Turkey, and Cheese
Dinner: Baked Fish (usually Salmon) w/ Veggies

Day 2
Breakfast: Same as Day 1
Lunch: Grilled Chicken Breast, Almonds, Coke
Dinner: Beef/Chicken Stir Fry with Veggies

Am I doing this right?

Curious if this happens to anyone else - I workout regularly (mix of cardio and strength training) and eat healthy 90% of times. I make sure to eat veggies and protein in almost every meal, alongside some carbs. In general, I’m a big foodie and do love food. But I am CONSTANTLY hungry. No matter how satiated I feel after a meal, I’m hungry again in an hour. Not sure if this is psychological more than physical, but I’m trying to lose weight and this is making it so tough!

I’ve done dry January and a lot of weight melted off. I was already shooting to keep it going through to March. For super lean people (borderline Instagram models), do you still drink alcohol after your 20s? I remember a male stripper in Vegas told me he only drank a shot of vodka once a year 😂 and that was the extent of his drinking, but he looked great.

During the pandemic I started to stress eat chocolates. I haven’t been able to stop, stop eat a lot of chocolates everyday now. I am starting to suspect I have diabetes now. Getting a doctors appointment asap. But does anyone have any inspiration? If I start eating clean and working out regularly, can I get this under control? Anyone familiar with PT, or previously coming off of shoulder and/or calf muscle injuries? Looking for some good strengthening exercises. My shoulders have been bad for the last few years (played D1 tennis). Both are bad though, sometimes on both sides the shoulder randomly pops out of place and there’s a tearing sound periodically Have a full ROM. for my calf, I ruptured my plantaris tendon and tore some muscle 8 months ago. It still doesn’t feel the same. Surgery wasn’t recommended for either
