Kind of funny. Interviewed with a firm beginning of October. Went through three rounds, was told the team really liked me in the final round blah blah. Then 5 weeks have passed with radio silence. Every time my recruiter reaches out they say they are “still collecting feedback” —- obviously didn’t get the position but, has anyone ever dealt with this? I’m generally perplexed lol.

I'm currently in the final rounds of interviewing. If I get a formal offer how have you gone about negotiating vacation? I've given them my desired salary already so that's not an issue but I'm used to having 5 weeks of vacation time and I want to make sure I at least am give something somewhat comparable to that.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

I've been working for 6 months as a recruiting temp. My original contract was dec-march. Then we mutually extended it when I had another offer for March. They then offered me full-time but I was interested in another role in another department. They agreed and I'm going to be working the 'temp to hire' role in the new department.

Am I allowed to ask for a new hourly rate for this 'new' role? I took the original rate due to covid necessity but would have asked for more if it was temp-to-hire.

I had to eat a lot of class years when joining big law. I didn’t go T14, didn’t get a summer job in big law, had to work my way up and finally got here. I’m at a great firm doing the exact work I like doing. Now, all around me, colleagues who graduated with me or after me are getting promoted and I’m still a long ways away. They all deserve it. But I can’t help but feel jealous and angry about the uncertainty ahead of whether I’ll make it there and how long it will take. Can anyone relate?

I feel very lost. I just started as an associate at a big firm this year and have a one year old son. Learning how to be a mom and an associate has been extremely tough and I have felt burnt out on multiple occasions this year. Prior to having a child, I was a very determined individual and was used to saying yes to almost everything because I wanted to accomplish those things.
