Kind of recently graduated in May of 2020. Would a college professor in my last semester be considered a professional reference?

If they can speak to your behavior, reliability, learning style, and other professional qualities, and they’re not related to you or a close friend, they’re fair game.

Definitely let the references know, and ask them if they’re ok with it. For HR, if they want the references now, let them know you’re reaching out to confirm they’re available for this and get back to them within 24 hours.

Something weird happened today. I attended 4 rounds of interviews with PwC and, post the 4th round, HR called me to share my last 3 month payslip and current compensation structure along with my salary expectations. Today he called me to check my availability for the 5th round of interview with the advisory head. Now I am confused as to why the HR asked me to share documents if there is another round. Is this the normal process?

I keep seeing new GD reviews about the company moving away from the hybrid work model and mandating RTO. Can any current employees explain what’s going on? I’m starting next month as a FT Director based in TX. Curious what the current remote (or lack of remote) climate is like and how employees are feeling about it.

I have simple question, how much salary should I ask the second offer.

Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? And how would I be able to cross over to management?

How does one most effectively make the transition into management from an Individual Contributor?

I've been an individual contributor for 4 years in Tech, have 8 years of experience total. I'm finding it difficult to make the management transition despite having management experience, performing beyond expectations, and having a genuine passion for enablement and development.

I'd appreciate any success stories or pointers you can offer in regards to this transition.

I've been through three rounds of interviews at a FAAANG-adjacent (I know, I know) company for a big role. Essentially my dream job. My last round was to submit an assignment, which I did on Wednesday night. On Thursday the internal recruiter responded and shared that "they'll be in touch about next steps very soon...no later than Tuesday!" Well, it's now EOD Wednesday and I haven't heard anything despite following up this morning. Is this a bad sign?

Do you actually take the time to reject people after initial interviews? Or do you wait for the candidate to reach back out to you? I’ve noticed a lot of agencies don’t seem to follow up

For companies that use platforms like Greenhouse to gather recruiting feedback, what do you do with the data? If you receive a negative from a candidate, do you black flag the candidate for future interviews?
