Just started as an associate in ibanking, can someone please provide the unspoken rules of ibanking? Wasn’t fortunate enough to join with rest of the new hires over orientation this summer and working remote has not helped with being able to normally reach out to another guy by the cube and ask for advice especially since I’m the new guy. Thanks in advance!!!

Anyone at ORD wants to get a drink?
Question: I’ve seen so many women get in mommy mode and throw their hobbies, careers, everything to the side as soon as a baby arrive. I don’t want to do that and in my mind I feel that I’ll still get to be myself. Does being a mom naturally make you lose your previous identity? It’s hard enough trying to move up within our roles but is this naturally in us?
Looking for a new office chair at home. Any suggestions? Two key qualities: comfortable and adjustable Price is very flexible. Much rather pay more for a nicer chair than get a deal. Thanks!
Moving to NYC from Europe. Gonna make 170-180k pre Bonus. My partner is a student in NYC. How much rent can I afford in the city if I want to still have a fun life. My partner can chip in 1.5 to 2k per month.
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Does anyone know of any DC area agencies are embracing full-time remote/hybrid right now?

Interviewing for jobs right now and all of these places have interview processes with 4-5 rounds. When did this become the norm? I am exhausted and all of my “doctors appointments” are starting to look suspicious.
Considering pursuing FRM certification. Currently in FS and don’t have a background in business/finance (studied Econ). Would FRM help bridge the subject matter knowledge gap?
Reviewing resumes and I see more and more frequent that people last one year or less at a job and move on to the next. Is that the new norm? I’m a millennial but my last job I was with for over 4 years. Can I ask in the interview why they’ve moved around so much? Or find a nicer way of asking that. I’m definitely looking for longevity not a hopper.
