*knocks on wood* Who else has never gotten COVID before? I've been COVID-free so far but I feel like eventually, everyone will get it the same way we get the cold.

I’m double vaccinated, boosted, and working from home. I’ve never had Covid. As the virus becomes endemic that will probably change. But the longer I go the better. Give me boosters. A day of being exhausted is a lot better than Covid.

like

Same. My hope is that the vaccines and boosters make it so that when we do get it, it feels like a cold.

funny

I’ve had it twice. Once before and once after the Pfizer vaccine. In my case, they both felt like a light cold. But that’s just one man’s experience. 🤷🏼‍♂️

smart

Yes, it feels like a ticking time bomb. I go out fairly often (dinner, kids' games, etc.) and am amaze that I and no one in my immediate family has tested positive. Everyone is %100 vaccinated, but still.

like

I agree and I’m in the same boat.

Lol let' not sink this ship

Dude same here. I can't tell you how I've managed to stay covid free but I'm grateful I have.

Same. I’m triple vaxxed and high risk so I hope I never get it. But seems like Omicron is spreading like wildfire and literally coming for everyone.

We’re been in this for 2 years, we’re way past anything going by quickly.

More like the flu, where if you take your shot and follow protocols ( wash hands for flu) you might never get it. COVID vaccination seems more effective than flu vaccination in contracting it. And like flu, vaccines mitigate the effects most of the time.

It’s unfortunate that people have gotten the idea that you aren’t supposed to be able to get COVID if you’re vaxxed. This hasn’t ever been an issue with any other vaccine but people generally just got them without knowing much.

like

My partner got COVID right at as SIP was happening after visiting NYC. It wasn’t bad as it could have been but they did lose smell and taste for 6 months and that was pretty awful.

I likely got it from them as I was the only one to take care though I never felt any symptoms. I did get knocked on my butt from the first vaccine shot though and apparently that’s a sign of having had it before.

I hope you’re vaxxed so when you do get it you don’t have much to worry about.

Not yet! But yes, at this point they say it could become an epidemic by 2024 and we may need regular vaccines just like the flu shot. Bound to get it, can only hope it's mild

As far as I know I haven't had it yet either. I am vaxxed (not boosted yet though, in spite of my best efforts to get one scheduled). Hoping that the vax and my general good health will protect me when I do get it... Fingers crossed for all of us!

I haven't, but I'm vaccinated.

Just shocked/surprised by the time I have taken.

Debating whether I should move back with my parents or not. If I stay in Chicago I have opportunities to network and would be good for my career (and fun). If I go back to my parents I’d be saving 1.8k a month. Would anybody like to share their two cents on my situation?
