If true, do it for the good of the firm and the morale of the team/others that also see this going on.
It’s an easier decision when we act like owners of the firm
@PwC1 I posted about it here but the fall of last year. Got advised to report. Basically PM/S. Managers/Mangers were expensing dinners and falsifying expense reports that client was in attendance. They would also routinely make purchases like shot glasses, bottles of wine etc. bc receipts were not itemized. It came to the point they handed me a receipt for $300 worth of booze and told me to put clients name on the expense report. I called hotline. They found out, I was frozen out of every meeting or invited about one to two minutes right before. Forget non-work functions. Found out on of them had takk d shit and it got to a PM who I worked with two projects ago. She reached out to me to ask if I was going through anything. I basically laid it out and she said there’s reports that I was being difficult and lacked l teamwork. She knew I was a hard worker and always helped out on her project so she reached out to check on me. I told CC but I think damage has been done. Unless I’ve worked with people in the past, no one is willing to staff me
A1, that's called retaliation and its a big no no. Might want to report again as it sounds like you have nothing to lose.
Call ethics hot line and choose to remain anonymous
If it’s consistent abuse, report it! Slip ups happen and policies get pushed at times, but if it’s truly a pattern of breaking the rules that everyone has to abide by, report it. You don’t want this person around you - or you risk being associated. Or if people found out you knew and didn’t report... just as bad imo
I’ve been the whistleblower. Honestly, if it isn’t hurting you directly it’s not worth pursuing. It’s up to the higher level to catch these things. I know everyone gets such a Justice boner about reporting this kind of behavior but sometimes you have to draw the line between what is your business and what isn’t.
This is coming from someone who got burned so I’m a bit cynical
@A2 - don’t know about accenture but kpmg has a 0 tolerance policy for retaliation. Those people freezing you out would likely be fired at our firm if reported through proper channels
Wow, those are serious accusations. What makes you sure this is happening?
Perhaps have a conversation with this person or their supervisor (if that isn’t you) to escalate your concerns. If you’re not comfortable doing that, consider calling the ethics hotline.
^lol
Why are you afraid? I would report them since they won't know it's you. It's likely many others know about some or all of the shadiness as well
Depends on what they are doing.
Are they charging in their beers at night? Thats not a big deal.
Are they putting that they worked at home instead of the client location on fridays on their time sheet for tax purposes.
Even adding a few hours of OT or charging 40 hrs when they are done in 30 isnt a big deal.
But of they are charging flights and staying home then that's a big deal
A1 what was the situation where you blew the whistle and it backfired?
Unless they are buying shots and spending like above, chill out. Taking this too seriously. Easy for MD to say act like owner when they are paid like owners and you aren't! Dude do your work, grab your check and get outta there when you are burnt out.
OP. We have an anonymous ethics hotline. Look it up
Send ethics hotline an email from an anon gmail type account with some details and leave it at that. Let them know you are an employee but prefer to remain anon
OP call the ethics hotline .
Do you know if anyone else in the team feels uncomfortable? I think you should report them anonymously. You could also speak with your counselor or a mentor to get advice. We all have to do our part to stop bad behavior.
Person is a master manipulator. Any way to anonymously report it?
also, not just a one time thing, but repeated behavior of abusing the company Amex and lying about work location
