I just need to get this off my chest. I went from insurance defense to workers comp because I like that side of the v. and I thought it would lead to a decent pay raise. I wasn't making market value at ID firm and the firm had no more money to give (sometimes had to wait a week for paychecks to issue due to finance problems). After a year at this new firm, I definitely have my bearings of WC and ask for a raise during my review. That was denied and they had their feedback. After about 6 months..

You consultants have it good. Be thankful. Worst is when you're non-adv but still doing same work as adv. Getting crushed on compensation. :(

Bringing on Principals. We have spent 5-years building out a remote-native management consulting firm and now growing by bringing on Principals... Our firm is taking a different approach to growth by offering full access to our remote infrastructure and operations team as well as the bench of talent. With a fully transparent comp structure, our Principals set their own rates plus receive a % NET of their hours for each project. We can't compete on brand (yet), we can on ops and comp. Thoughts?
