Put it this way I want to be pushed more than I am currently.
Then definitely no, KPMG won’t get you that
P2, DDV does ops and IT DD. They also do SMO, PMO and post day one ops work. There’s a specific Advisory group FDD that does only FDD. S& does growth strategy and CDD like you mention.
What is the difference between FDD and CDD?
Thanks in advance!
No
Depends on how type A you are
Deals strategy in S& works banking hours. DDV travels a lot while doing some DD work so it’s more varied but it can be exhausting, though hours are slightly better.
P1, does DDV work on financial DD and S& work on commercial DD?
Gotchya thanks D1 is this on personal experience or? I figured KPMG i'd get more broader experience while at PwC i'd either be siloed in Opds DD or Commercial DD.
Hence why I was considering them.
You may get broader experience, but if you want to be pushed then not the right place. I worked at PwC before D, and both are the more aggressive of the B4 when compared to my friends that went to KPMG. It’s a lot more relaxed, but this is based on what I’ve been told from them
I know for a fact that there’s an FDD group in KPMG, but you might be right that the deal advisory does mix CDD with ops and IT DD
If you apply to Strategy/M&A services under the deal advisory umbrella, you will work on ODD/CDD/growth strategy etc. if you apply to FDD you will purely do FDD 95% of the time.
