Probably most flexible out of the B4. Can claim per diem instead of swiping through meals. Lunch ok. Cell phone up $45/mo without device payment $65/mo with device payment. Hot spots are pretty easy to get. Haven't found much restriction with hotel/airlines and have never gotten pushback on anything I've put through

like

That's not most flexible in B4.

like

@D1, what do you know of that is more flexible? Not actuals on per diam, BTW. Spend as little as you want and take the full per diam.

like

D is similar an allows more $$ for cell phone but you also sell your soul to the devil

like

Take per diam which absolutely blows away the few extra pennies D gives for cell phone. Example: New York project = $74 a day in your pocket even if you only spent 30.

like

Thank you.

Do you have either the option of per diem or actuals or is it told to you?

And are you forced to take cheaper flights or a cheaper hotel I.e. Delta vs American or Hilton bs. Dog.

Spg *

Delta/AA and Marriott/SPG preferred carriers and hotels and due to my base/travel cities this has worked well

Can you use your personal credit card for expensing hotels

Not encouraged.

My question was do you have the option to take per diem or expense actuals?

That question was already answered.

Where?

I left a boutique consulting company because I felt under utilized. Joined a larger supposedly hip consultancy with local market model with great expectations and am finding myself let down by the experience - the client, work, teamwork and collaboration, technical content is not per what was promised and feels like I am back to my b4 days. Also, would like to know about withdraws if I move back to home country and hold 401k until 60 yrs of age. Trying to figure out if I need to switch to Roth 401k now. Thinking lower tax bracket in future could be working for <= 30k/yr with solid savings for atleast 2 years

I have a brief resume gap from near the beginning of covid but have been at a new employer for >1 year. I’ve been asked about said gap during in-house interviews, but it’s generally been cursory and I give the explanation agreed upon by former employer. Was pressed a bit harder recently by being asked “will x former employer confirm [the story]?” Is this in and of itself a bad sign? Are they trying to catch a lie?
