Should I do a IB internship during my fall semester senior year?

Anyone have success stories (personal or from peers) about going to a part time program and securing a 150K+ post-mba offer? Targeting a top 30 program for consulting. I know I would be at a disadvantage from not being able to intern but can I still get a reputable job?

Why would we ever hire someone into audit that doesn't have an undergrad in accounting, only did a 1-year MACC program, and did not complete an internship? Setting people up to fail every day...

Hot take: firms should keep staff at intern level until they pass CPA. I’d say don’t hire them until they’ve passed but they need some comp to eat. We’re training so many kids to work to senior, never pass and either deteriorate or leave. It’s not that hard.
