Currently I am in charge of building the onboarding program for my company, so I was curious about everyone's experience with regards to this. I have read through quite a lot of materials online and the majority of the companies don't have a decent or engaging onboarding program.

What were some things that you like/didn't like, when you were onboarded?

What would you feel is a fair salary for a mid-level data scientist in a major Midwest metro area.
Chicago, Madison, Minneapolis, etc.
Mid-level with 3-5 years experience in data-related roles.
Masters degree required.
Marketing data company.
Works independently across multiple very lean teams.

My manager and I had a disagreement the other day. When I asked for an apology, I was told that one was not forthcoming and he’s already padded my HR file in the event I want to escalate this to his manager.
